Permanent Peoples’ Tribunal
Session on alleged violations of international law and international humanitarian law by the Turkish Republic and its officials in their relations with the Kurdish people and their organisations
Paris, 15- 16 March 2018
The following organisations initiated the proposal to hold a session of the Permanent Peoples’ Tribunal on Turkey and the Kurds: the International Association of Democratic Lawyers (IADL), the European Association of Lawyers for Democracy & World Human Rights (ELDH), MAF-DAD, the Association for Democracy and International Law, the Kurdish Institute of Brussels.
The proposal was formally accepted by the Permanent Peoples’ Tribunal on 14th December 2017. The Tribunal will be held on 15th and 16th March 2018 in the French capital Paris, in the Bourse du Travail, Salle Eugène Henaff, 29 boulevard du Temple (program).
The President of the PPT, Philippe Texier, will chair the panel of the judges, which is composed by Madjid Benchikh, Luciana Castellina, Teresa Almeida Castro, Domenico Gallo, Denis Halliday, Norman Paech (see the bios of the judges).
