On September 30, 2026, the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation, the Permanent Peoples’ Tribunal (PPT) will release the Final Judgement of its 57th session on Missing and Disappeared Indigenous Children and Unmarked Burials in Canada, convened at the request of the Native Women’s Shelter of Montreal.
The international PPT Panel of Judges reviewed over 2,000 pieces of evidence and heard testimonies during public hearings in May 2026 to assess allegations of genocide and crimes against humanity under international law.
